Contribution Program

The Cities of Heroes: Resilience (CHR) initiative allows supporters to make voluntary contributions to help rebuild Ukrainian cities affected by war. In return, contributors receive CHR tokens as a token of appreciation, symbolizing their commitment to Ukraine’s recovery.

How Contributions Work

  • Contributors send USDT or USDC to support the reconstruction efforts.
  • CHR tokens are distributed as a thank-you to donors.
  • Contributions are not a purchase—they are a means of direct support.

Use of Contributions

  • 80% – Rebuilding homes, schools, hospitals, and critical infrastructure.
  • 10% – Administrative operations, security, platform maintenance.
  • 10% – Community engagement, awareness campaigns, volunteer support.

Regional Allocation

Funds collected through the Cities of Heroes: Resilience (CHR) initiative will be distributed across eight key regions in Ukraine, each receiving 12.5% of the total token supply. These regions have been selected based on the severity of destruction, strategic importance, and urgent need for reconstruction. The allocation of funds may be adjusted depending on evolving priorities and assessments on the ground.

Kharkiv Region

Located in northeastern Ukraine, Kharkiv has endured widespread destruction due to continuous shelling and missile strikes. Entire residential districts, schools, and hospitals have been damaged or destroyed. Efforts will focus on rebuilding homes, restoring public services, and supporting displaced families.

Sumy Region

Also situated in the northeast, Sumy suffered significant damage in the early months of the war. Many small towns and villages were heavily affected by military actions. Reconstruction will prioritize housing restoration, school rebuilding, and medical facility repairs.

Donetsk Region

As one of the most heavily affected regions, Donetsk has faced some of the most intense destruction due to ongoing hostilities. Cities like Mariupol and Bakhmut have been devastated, with large-scale urban reconstruction required. The focus will be on restoring critical infrastructure, housing, and healthcare services.

Zaporizhzhia Region

Located in southeastern Ukraine, Zaporizhzhia has been heavily impacted by ongoing missile strikes and fighting. Damage to energy infrastructure has severely affected daily life. Reconstruction funds will be used to rebuild residential areas, energy facilities, and essential public infrastructure.

Mykolaiv Region

In southern Ukraine, Mykolaiv has suffered extensive destruction due to prolonged attacks, particularly in civilian areas. Water infrastructure and hospitals were targeted, making repairs and rebuilding efforts crucial for the region’s recovery.

Kherson Region

Also in the south, Kherson endured severe devastation, with many homes, roads, and utility networks destroyed. The focus will be on rebuilding essential services, schools, and housing to help residents return to a safe and stable environment.

Kyiv Region

Surrounding Ukraine’s capital, the Kyiv region suffered intense battles in the early stages of the invasion. Many towns, including Bucha and Irpin, were severely damaged. The focus will be on rebuilding residential areas, roads, and public institutions.

Chernihiv Region

Located in northern Ukraine, Chernihiv was heavily bombed in the first months of the invasion. Continuous missile and artillery shelling destroyed a large portion of homes, hospitals, and educational institutions. Reconstruction efforts will aim to restore urban and rural housing, critical infrastructure, and community services.

Why These Regions?

The war has left thousands of Ukrainian cities and villages damaged or completely destroyed. According to reports from early 2024:

  • 50% or more of housing in many affected cities has been damaged.
  • Cities like Mariupol, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sievierodonetsk, Bakhmut, Lysychansk, and Izium have seen up to 90% destruction.
  • The number of damaged homes continues to grow due to ongoing missile strikes and combat in frontline regions.

This initiative prioritizes regions with the greatest need, ensuring that reconstruction efforts have the highest impact.
